A series of fanfic stories based on the television series. Written just for the fun of it, much like Freelancers. I noticed a certain vibe between the characters Jack Darby and Arcee, particularly after the first-season episode, "Predatory." Nothing has come of it on the show, but I thought it might make an interesting story, so I gave it a shot. The first story, Game-Changer, begins shortly after "Predatory" and diverges a lot from the direction the TV show went.
The Main Characters
She was once a scout on Cybertron before her homeworld became uninhabitable hundreds or even thousands of years ago (Jack hasn't asked her how old she is, figuring it would be rude) after a long, violent civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. She ended up on Earth with her partner Cliffjumper three years prior to meeting Jack, and became the human's guardian not long after Cliff's death. Reluctant at first, she quickly began to respect him and consider him a friend.
Started out as a sixteen-year-old flipping burgers after school, then he stumbled into a battle between Arcee and several Vehicons in the small town of Jasper, Nevada. After being brought to the Autobot base hidden in the desert outside Jasper, he continued finding himself in the thick of things despite Arcee's attempts to keep him safe, and he gradually began taking a more voluntary role in the fight, figuring that if he was going to end up in the middle of it anyway, he should do everything he can to help his new friends.
To see the size difference, and for a quick laugh, take a look at this clip:
Autobot leader. Stoic but kind and compassionate. Has a tendency for speechifying and usually seems a bit wooden (though I'm slipping him a very subtle sense of humor here). Determined at first to keep human soldiers out of open combat with the Decepticons to prevent any human casualties, circumstances beginning in "Game-Changer" forced him to accept the help of a team from the Groom Lake Air Force Base under the command of Lt. Col. Ashanti McKenna.
Jack's mother, a nurse at the hospital in Jasper. After freaking out over the danger her son had been in for several months without telling her, she gradually came to accept his new role as a member of Team Prime. Then (in "Game-Changer"), after having to relocate to Groom Lake, she was offered a position on the base's medical staff, and accepted it. To continue to be there for her son, she even joined a medical field unit attached to Col. McKenna's team.
